Last Updated: May 8, 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how Beyond Stop LLC d/b/a Pase Labs, the operator of the BabyLooks mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”), collects, uses, and shares information about you.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide and improve the Service. The types of information we collect include:
- Photos: When you use the “Effortless Photo Captures” feature, we access your device’s camera to take photos directly within the app. When you use the “upload from your gallery” feature, we access photos stored on your device. These photos are collected and stored by the Service for the purpose of creating and displaying your photo polls.
- Poll Content and Activity: We collect the content you create, including the photos you upload or capture and the details of the polls you create. We also collect information about your activity within the app, such as the polls people participate in, the votes people cast, and the polls you share.
- Sharing Information: When you use the “Seamless Sharing” feature, we collect information about the platforms you choose to share through (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, SMS, email) and potentially information about the recipients you select, depending on the sharing method and your device’s permissions. We do not control the privacy practices of these third-party platforms.
- Voting Information: We collect votes cast on polls. This includes the specific option voted for and the time of the vote. For “Real-Time Tally,” this data is used to update results instantly.
- Notification Information: If you enable “Notifications,” we collect information necessary to send you alerts about new votes or activity on your polls. This may include device tokens.
- Device and Usage Information: We automatically collect certain information about your device and how you interact with the Service. This includes information about your device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, IP address, browser type, and usage patterns within the app (e.g., features used, time spent). This also includes information related to “Cross-Platform Access” to ensure the Service functions correctly across different devices and web browsers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To Provide and Maintain the Service: We use your photos, poll content, and activity data to create, display, and manage your photo polls and enable other users to participate. Voting information is used for the “Real-Time Tally” feature.
- To Enable Sharing: We use sharing information to facilitate the sharing of your polls through selected platforms.
- To Send Notifications: We use notification information to send you alerts about activity on your polls, if you have enabled this feature.
- To Improve and Develop the Service: We analyze device and usage information to understand how the Service is used, identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot issues, and develop new features.
- To Ensure Security: We may use collected information to detect and prevent fraudulent or malicious activity.
3. Sharing Your Information
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- With Other Users: Photos and poll content you create are shared with other users who access or are invited to participate in your polls. Voting results (the tally percentage) are visible to users viewing the poll.
- Through Sharing Platforms: When you use the “Seamless Sharing” feature, information about the poll (e.g., a link or preview) is shared with the platforms you select and the recipients you choose, subject to the privacy policies of those platforms.
- With Service Providers: We may share information with third-party companies and individuals who provide services on our behalf (e.g., hosting, analytics, notification services). These third parties are obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes for which they were engaged.
- For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order or government request).
- In Case of Business Transfer: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your photos or personal poll data to third parties.
4. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.
Given that the app involves photos, including potentially photos of babies and young children, we strongly advise users who upload photos of children under 13 to ensure they have the necessary consent from the child’s parent or guardian before uploading and sharing those photos in a poll.
5. Data Storage and Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information collected through the Service from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
6. Your Controls and Rights
You have certain rights regarding your information:
- Access and Modification: You can access and modify certain information associated with your account and polls within the app settings.
- Deletion: You can delete your polls and associated photos and data through the app. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us using the information below.
